Welcome to Demi Charlton Bridal. These Terms & Conditions outline the rules, policies, and guidelines for booking and working with Demi Charlton.
When booking and paying your deposit, you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions. Please read through all of the below carefully, before making a non-refundable deposit.
By paying a deposit, signing a bridal agreement, or confirming a booking, you ("the Client") agree to be bound by the following terms.
1. Bookings & Bridal Trials
Location & Availability: All bridal trials take place at my studio, Brows & Base in Goole, East Yorkshire, and are available during daytime appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Scheduling Your Trial: Once your wedding booking has been secured, you are welcome to arrange your trial appointment. I usually recommend scheduling your trial approximately 3 -4 months before your wedding date. If you prefer your trial closer to your wedding date, I will do my best to accommodate your preferred time frame, subject to availability.
Destination & Overseas Brides: For overseas brides who cannot travel to the studio for a trial, we will discuss your requirements in detail via consultation/message and create a personalised plan to ensure you feel completely confident ahead of your wedding day.
Minimum Spend: I have a minimum spend of 4 adults (including the Bride). If there is a reduction in your group size after the booking fee has been paid, the total quoted price will still remain due and payable in full.
2. Travel, Accommodation & Destination Weddings
Your wedding day can take me anywhere. I am delighted to travel to wherever you are celebrating, ensuring you receive the same personalised and luxurious experience wherever your wedding takes place.
Travel Fees: Travel to your getting-ready location will be calculated once the full location address is provided to cover petrol and associated travel expenses.
Parking & Tolls: Please inform me prior to the wedding day if parking charges, toll fees, or location changes during the morning will apply so these can be factored into your schedule and invoice.
Overnight Accommodation: For weddings located more than 1.5 hours from my home location, I kindly require accommodation for the night prior to your wedding. You may either book accommodation for me at your getting-ready location, or I can arrange it on your behalf for a flat £100 overnight fee (covering hotel and evening meal). This allows me to arrive feeling rested and fully prepared, ensuring I can give you the calm, attentive and exceptional service you deserve on your wedding morning. If accommodation is available at your getting-ready location, this would be absolutely ideal.
Destination Weddings: For weddings abroad, please mention this during your initial inquiry. A bespoke quotation covering international travel, accommodation, and destination booking terms will be provided.
Wherever in the world your wedding takes you, my priority is to ensure your experience feels seamless, luxurious and completely stress-free from the moment we begin working together.
3. Allergies & Health Concerns
Allergies & Sensitivities: Please inform me at the time of booking (or during your trial) if anyone in the bridal party has known allergies or sensitivities to cosmetic/skincare products. While every precaution is taken, I cannot accept liability for undisclosed allergic reactions.
Contagious Conditions: Please notify me immediately if anyone receiving makeup has a cold sore, eye infection, or contagious skin condition. For safety and hygiene reasons, I reserve the right to refuse service to affected individuals.
Cold Sores & Patch Tests: Clients with active cold sores must provide their own lip products to prevent cross-contamination. Patch tests can be conducted during your trial upon request. For this reason, I strongly recommend booking a bridal trial.
Sanitation: All tools, brushes, and cosmetic products are strictly sanitised and cleaned between every application to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
4. Payments, Booking Fees & Cancellations
Securing Your Date: A non-refundable deposit of £150 is required to secure your wedding date. This amount is deducted from your final balance.
Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than one month (30 days) before your wedding date.
Payment Methods: Payments can be made via Bank Transfer or Credit Card. Cash payments on the wedding day are accepted only if agreed upon in writing prior to the event.
Cancellation by the Client: All cancellations must be made in writing.
Cancellations made within 4 months of the wedding date: 50% of the remaining balance is due.
Cancellations made within 28 days of the wedding date: 100% of the remaining balance is due.
Cancellation by the Makeup Artist: In the unlikely event that I am unable to attend due to severe illness or emergency, you will receive a full refund of all payments made for wedding day services (excluding completed trials). I will make every reasonable effort to connect you with a trusted alternative artist of a similar style and provide them with your trial notes and photos.
5. Postponement or Date Changes
Availability: If you need to postpone or change your wedding date, please notify me immediately. I will make every effort to transfer your booking to the new date, subject to availability.
Non-Refundable Fees: If I am unavailable for your new wedding date, your £150 booking payment and any fees for completed services (such as trial sessions) remain strictly non-refundable. If your final balance was paid prior to postponement and I am unavailable for the new date, this payment is also non-refundable.
Price Adjustments: If your wedding is postponed to a future calendar year, updated pricing structures for that year may apply to your remaining balance.
5. Photography & Media Consent
Unless explicitly requested otherwise in writing prior to your wedding day, you grant permission for Demi Charlton to take photos and videos during your preview and wedding day for portfolio, website, and social media promotional use.
